Asset Library — Gemini/Manus Badges and Credits
Each draft shows a badge identifying which AI generated it — and Manus drafts also show the cumulative credit cost.
What is it?
Every draft in the Asset Library carries a small colored badge next to its status:
- Gemini (indigo pill with sparkles icon) — generated by Gemini.
- Manus (blue pill with search icon) — generated by Manus AI. Shows the total credit count in parentheses (e.g.
Manus (12)). The count includes original generation + any refinement rounds you ran via the drawer.
The badge also appears during generation with an animated spinner if the draft is still status: generating.
When should I use it?
- You want to know at a glance which drafts were made with citations (Manus) vs. fast drafts (Gemini).
- You want to track Manus credit spend across drafts.
- You're deciding which draft to refine further — the badge tells you if it supports refinement.
- You're explaining to a client why certain drafts took longer to produce.
How to use it
- Scan the badge column or chip in Asset Library (both Table and Cards views show it).
- Hover a Manus badge to see total credits and generation date in a tooltip.
- Click a Gemini draft to open in Content Studio — no Refine button will be visible.
- Click a Manus draft to open it — Refine button is available for further iteration.
Tips and best practices
- Monitor Manus credit totals across drafts to budget monthly spend.
- High credit counts (20+ on one draft) usually mean many refinement rounds — factor into client billing.
- If you're doing many quick iterations, Gemini is cheaper. Reserve Manus for drafts that need citations or polish.
Gotchas and limits
- Credit counts update after each refinement round — if you're mid-refinement, the badge doesn't update until the poller completes.
- Very old drafts (generated before the badge system existed) may show no badge. They're treated as Gemini by default.
- Manus credits are cumulative per-task. If a task is regenerated fresh, a new task (and new count) starts.
