Dashboard — Overview
A one-screen snapshot of the selected client — traffic, content pipeline, personas, and what to work on next.
What is it?
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It pulls together live numbers from the client's connected data sources (Google Search Console, GA4, Chatbase, etc.) and combines them with your own content activity inside NexusSEO. Everything is scoped to whichever client is currently selected in the top-left client switcher.
When should I use it?
- At the start of a session, to get a quick read on how the client is performing.
- When you need to decide what to work on next — the Persona Content Ideas and High Priority cards suggest concrete moves.
- To confirm connections are still healthy before diving into generation.
How to use it
- Pick a client in the sidebar Selected Client dropdown. All numbers reload for that client.
- Scan the two KPI rows — Total Sessions, Avg Engagement, Content Library, Personas, High Priority, Last Written For, Top Page. Anything showing "Connect GA4/GSC" is a setup gap.
- If you see the amber Connect now banner at the top, click it to jump to Data Sources and finish connecting.
- Expand the collapsible sections below the KPIs — Persona Content Ideas is open by default, the rest are collapsed to keep the page short.
- Click any keyword or persona chip in the collapsed sections to drill into that item (most chips are clickable and filter the Opportunity Finder).
Tips and best practices
- Connect Google Search Console and GA4 first. Most cards depend on them, and the connection banner disappears once both are wired up.
- Leave sections collapsed until you need them. Your preference is remembered per-section.
- The Persona Content Ideas section suggests the personas with the least recent content — use it to decide what to write next instead of picking keywords in isolation.
Gotchas and limits
- Numbers are pulled live from each provider. If GA4 was just connected, give it a minute to populate.
- Data is client-scoped. Switching clients reloads everything — nothing is shared across clients.
- Viewers see the Dashboard but can't trigger any write actions (no refresh button, no "Mark brand keyword", etc.).
- Date range for GSC defaults to 30 days. You can change it in the GSC query widgets, and the change persists for the session only.
