LinkedIn Parser — Overview
A standalone tool that extracts structured data from any public LinkedIn profile URL and converts it into a NexusSEO persona.
What is it?
A dedicated screen for pasting LinkedIn profile URLs and pulling out structured data — headline, current role, company, location, experience summary, skills, industry. The output is displayed side-by-side with a Convert to Persona button that carries the extracted data into the persona creation flow. Useful for B2B persona building where real profiles anchor the work.
When should I use it?
- You have a list of ideal-customer LinkedIn profiles from sales or the client.
- You're building a B2B persona library and want real-world grounding.
- You need to do a quick sanity check — does this LinkedIn profile match the persona profile you already have?
How to use it
- Go to LinkedIn Parser in the sidebar (🔗 icon).
- The how-to page walks through each step.
Tips and best practices
- Parse 3–5 profiles per target audience, then look for patterns before creating personas.
- Keep the extracted data around as reference material — it helps when writing quotes and filling in frustrations later.
Gotchas and limits
- Only public profiles work.
- LinkedIn rate limits — heavy use leads to parser failures. Try again later or paste text manually into the persona editor.
- The parser captures structured fields, not nuanced opinions. You still need to add goals, frustrations, and quotes by hand.
